The SBI is responsible for selecting the investment options that are made available to other retirement funds and tax-advantaged savings plans. These funds are managed separately and are not combined with the Statewide Retirement Systems.
Participating plans include both defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. In some plans, the plan sponsor makes investment choices, while in others, such as tax-advantaged savings plans, participants are responsible for their own investment decisions.
